SI SE PUEDE/AIDAN’S WAY LEARNING CENTER – PRE-K

Si Se Puede/Aidan’s Way is a pre-Kindergarten program for children age 3 ½ to 5 that provides a safe and fun environment for learning several mornings each week.  We welcome children of all faiths, races, and ethnic origins.  We love being a diverse community!  This program is located at 49 Gold Mine Drive.  Members of St. Aidan’s partner with this program to offer funding and volunteers for the children, and assist with computer literacy for the parents.  For more information call 415-695-0449.

SI SE PUEDE/AIDAN’S WAY LEARNING CENTER – AN AFTER-SCHOOL COMMUNITY

Aidan's Way is an after-school and summer program for children grades K-5 that provides a safe and fun environment after school.  We welcome children of all faiths, races, and ethnic origins.  We love being a diverse community!

Our paid and volunteer staff is skilled and experienced.  As a part of our advocacy for a safe environment, we participate in the Department of Justice Fingerprinting Program.

We operate on the San Francisco Unified School District Calendar, observing holidays and staff development days.  We open one hour early on parent-teacher conference days. There is a modest program fee.

The Learning Center's primary focus is to provide educational services for youth in the community.

We provide:

  • A safe, loving, developmentally appropriate environment for students in grades K-5

  • A nutritious snack

  • Academic enhancements using the KidzLit and KidzMath curriculum

  • Recreational experiences in arts and crafts, music, science and technology, dance and movement

  • A study hall opportunity with homework assistance

  • Professional story-telling and reading time

  • Experience in domestic arts, including cooking and needle craft

  • Consultation with parents and schools on children’s specific needs

Our volunteers come from a variety of places: our congregation, the neighborhood, and local high schools.  We volunteer because we care about children and the future of our world.  Our children come from various public and parochial schools.  Children may be dropped off or come by bus.  Busses currently deliver children from Rooftop, Miraloma, and Alvarado and my be arranged from other schools at parent’s request.

The program operates year round; during the school year the Center is open Monday - Friday, and summer hours vary. Members of St. Aidan’s have offered after-school care for more than ten years and now partners with this program to offer funding and volunteers for this program, which is located at 49 Gold Mine Drive, with some of the supervised activities taking place at St. Aidan’s 101 Gold Mine Drive.   For more information call 415-695-0449.
