Sunday Worship

8:00 am - HOLY EUCHARIST

This is a quiet, intimate, reflective liturgy, with little or no music. A number of 8:00-ers gather in at the nearby Creighton's Bakery Cafe for conversation after the liturgy, and are often joined by those about to attend the 10:00.

10:00 am - HOLY EUCHARIST

The 10:00 is a larger and much more extroverted liturgy. It includes a wide variety of music led by our parish music group of instrumentalists and vocalists. A Coffee Hour in the Parish Hall follows this liturgy.

5:00 pm - COMMUNITY OF TRAVELERS WORSHIP WITH COMMUNION

So there’s lots of ancient tradition at the Community of Travelers Service, but there’s also some innovation. This fresh expression of worship always include a time called “Open Space” in which we slow down for prayer and other opportunities to actively engage the Gospel – Praying with icons, sermon sharing, or making art before we share holy communion. Once a month we have a liturgical potluck within the context of holy communion. Aimed towards young adults and children (young at heart always welcome), we meet every week at St. Aidan's for a worship experience and for fellowship Sunday afternoons at 5 PM. A festive Happy Hour follows the service around the altar table.

CHILDREN

We love children!  The nursery with an experienced nanny is provided for infants and children age 6 months to 2 ˝ years from 9:45 until 12:00 every Sunday.  Sunday school is offered for children age 3 and up from 9:45.  You may drop the children off on our playground or in the parish hall and the children will rejoin their family in the worship space at the Passing of the Peace and will stay for the service of Holy Communion.  Children are also welcome to stay throughout the 8:00 or 10:00 liturgy; a rug with toys and art supplies are available in the worship space.  Children from Grade 6 are encouraged to be acolytes and participate in the service.  There is a quarterly All-Age worship service in which children and youth of the parish, as well as those who are young at heart, serve as greeters, acolytes, readers, offer a Gospel drama, lead the prayers, sing the songs, and assist at coffee hour.

Wednesday Evening - Sunday on Wednesday

6:00 pm - HOLY EUCHARIST

The 30 minute, informal service consists of Eucharist (Holy Communion), readings from Scripture, prayers for the community,  and informal sermon sharing. This service is for anyone wanting to attend a mid-week liturgy or anyone who is not able to attend a Sunday morning Eucharist. All are welcome!
